SAO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The State Attorney\u2019s Office is tasked with promoting community safety through the ethical prosecution of criminal offenses.&nbsp;&nbsp; This role requires our Assistant State Attorneys to have easy access to up-to-date legal research and training.&nbsp; To support our attorneys, our office maintains a database of these resources.&nbsp; These resources include topics such as search and seizure, current developments in forensic science, stand your ground defenses, and speedy trial.&nbsp;&nbsp; SAO13 is seeking law students with an interest in criminal law topics to assist in the development and maintenance of these resources.&nbsp; This is a self-paced, remote opportunity with a focus on legal research.&nbsp; Students will not work on specific cases, nor will they have access to protected criminal justice information; a background check is not required.&nbsp; This program can accept up to 10 law students who can complete up to 30 hours with the program.&nbsp; Students can select the number of hours that they would like to complete and the time frame for completion.&nbsp; They will work under the supervision of licensed attorneys:&nbsp; Renee Muratti, Chief Assistant State Attorney, and Diane Marger Moore, Director of the Conviction Review Unit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opportunity hours will begin in May 2023.
