This position will assist with the Office\u2019s<br>institutional and legislative diversity, equity, and inclusion research, as well as the Office\u2019s diversity<br>pipeline initiatives in close collaboration with the Office of Admissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must have strong interests in diversity, equity, and inclusion research and initiatives. An<br>interest in higher education administration and policy is also preferred, but not required.<br>This position requires a maximum of 20 per week and the hourly rate is $11.00 per hour through the<br>federal work study program. The preferred start date is September 5 through the end of Fall 2023, with a<br>desire to continue through Spring and Summer 2024 if the student is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the work will be completed virtually and will include a weekly virtual meeting using Microsoft<br>Teams or Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline to apply is Monday, July 31, 2023, but please note that we will review applications and<br>reach out to applicants on a rolling basis. Applicants are also encouraged to contact Student Financial Planning to confirm their FWS eligibility and to discuss any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Specific Duties<\/strong><br>\u2022 Support the overall diversity initiative and research efforts of Stetson University\u2019s Office of<br>Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion (DCI)<br>\u2022 Contribute to diversity- and equity-related institutional research efforts on behalf of the DCI<br>office as needed, including state\/national legislative and other legal developments<br>\u2022 Research diversity recruiting and retention trends within higher education, and assist in<br>identifying needed areas of support for recruiting and retaining diverse students from<br>underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds<br>\u2022 Assist in collaborating with other departments and student organizations that wish to amplify<br>their diversity and inclusion efforts<br>\u2022 Assist with occasional DCI programming efforts for students and employees<br>\u2022 Assist in updating and maintaining the applicable webpages and marketing materials<br>\u2022 In collaboration with Admissions, assist with diversity pipeline programming efforts when<br>needed, along with the associated research and assessment needs<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stetson Law\u2019s Office of Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion is seeking a Stetson Law J.D. student toserve as a Diversity Initiatives Research Assistant (DIRA).
