SBA is preparing to hold elections for the Summer Advisory Council. This Council is a Quasi-Legislative Council that has the authority to act on behalf of the Student Bar Association during the Summer 2023 term. This Council will meet with the SBA President on an \u201cas-needed\u201d basis throughout the summer. Council members will review summer budget requests, plan summer events, and handle any other legislative matters that arise during this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to run for the Summer Advisory Council, you must be enrolled in summer courses. Current executive council members are not permitted to apply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nominations will start Tuesday, May 30 and will be due by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31.<\/strong> You may nominate yourself or another student. Nominations are confidential<\/em> and are handled through the Elections Committee. To nominate yourself or another person, please navigate to the SBA Elections Administration Engage page, you will find the Nomination and Validation forms under the \u201cForms\u201d tab. https:\/\/stetson.campuslabs.com\/engage\/organization\/sba-elections-administration<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Those who are nominated will be notified and must validate their nomination by Thursday, June 1 at 11:59 PM<\/strong> in order to be placed on the election ballot. If a nominated and validated candidate wishes to include a Candidate Bio on the ballot, their Bio is due by Friday, June 2 at 11:59 PM. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Elections for the Summer Advisory Council will run from Monday, June 5 through Wednesday, June 7 at 5:00 PM<\/strong>. The results of the election will be announced by Friday, June 9th<\/sup> at 12:00 PM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
