{"id":65674,"date":"2023-11-13T09:08:34","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T14:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/?p=65674"},"modified":"2023-11-13T09:08:34","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T14:08:34","slug":"congratulations-dispute-resolution-board-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/congratulations-dispute-resolution-board-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations, Dispute Resolution Board!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Dispute Resolution Board just ended its fall competition season with another reason to celebrate.&nbsp; We have competed five times this semester, and all five competitions have resulted in our being either finalists or the champion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DR Board&#8217;s last competition of the fall semester was the regional rounds of the ABA Arbitration Competition in Houston, and BOTH of our squads advanced to semifinals.&nbsp; This means Stetson fielded TWO of the FOUR teams in semifinals.&nbsp; Our team Green was led by captain Faith Gosselin, along with Morgan Jones, Kristen Ballard, and Anthony Graubard.&nbsp; Our team Purple was led by captain Lexi Nyiri, along with Marcus Chisholm, Lei-Lani Rogers, and Jac Malfa.&nbsp; The teams were coached by two fantastic alumni &#8211; Nathan Bruemmer (DR\/Trial Team), and PJ Nowlan DR).&nbsp; Because we were seeded #2 and #3 after prelims, our Team Purple and Team Green had to go head-to-head in semis, which meant only one Stetson team could advance to finals.&nbsp; Our Team Green represented us beautifully in finals &#8211; and won the regional! Huge congratulations to BOTH fantastic teams, who handled the tough situation of having to go head-to-head in semis with class and professionalism.
