CALL, Community Service Life Liason, is a program implemented by St. Pete Police Department in conjunction with Gulf Coast JFCS in which a mental health professional responds to certain 911 calls.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From their website CALL goals are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce police involvement in non-criminal and non-violent calls for service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce repeat calls for service to police from the same person by providing support and longer-term service connections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide a more compassionate approach to quality of life issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase the amount of time our sworn officers can focus on keeping our City safe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We will have two panelists from the Saint Pete Police Department, a representative from Gulf Coast JFCS, and a representative from the Public Defender&#8217;s Office of the 6th Circuit.
