One session will focus on our 2 week civil rights course that takes students through 6 cities in the South and the other session will focus on how to apply to the SJA Concentration Program.&nbsp; See details below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Civil Rights Course<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Tuesday, March 26 at 5:30<\/strong> via Zoom, we will be hosting an informational session for the Law and Civil Rights course and travel course, both of which will be held this summer.&nbsp; We will be discussing not only the logistics for the course, but also financial aid and our expectations of the students who enroll in the course.&nbsp; This session will be recorded for those students who are not able to attend in person.&nbsp; Students who are interested in using their law degree to ensure respect for humanity&nbsp;in either the criminal or civil legal system;&nbsp; to protect the economic and social development of communities; to prevent large institutions from abusing their power, or who are interested in becoming a human rights or civil rights advocate on a local, national or international level are encouraged to apply to the SJA Concentration Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in the SJA program receive guidance from faculty mentors, participate in experiential learning opportunities that help them develop an area of expertise, do advanced research and writing on social justice issues and pursue a focused curriculum that will aid them in shaping their criminal and\/or civil justice careers.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply to the program, please complete the following application&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/offices\/registrar\/media\/application-social-justice-advocacy-concentration.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SOCIAL JUSTICE ADVOCACY CONCENTRATION PROGRAM (stetson.edu)<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
