We\u2019re nearing last call for the ABA Law Student Writing Competition! Please share this information with law students you know \u2013 your students, summer clerks\/associates, family, friends. Students may have an article\/paper they submitted during the semester that is relevant to the competition. Papers can be newsletter format (1,000-2,000 words) or law journal format. Please ensure your students are aware of this opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>SUBMISSIONS FOR THE ABA FORUM ON CONSTRUCTION LAW STUDENT WRITING COMPETITION ARE DUE JUNE 30, 2024. &nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>This is a reminder of the Annual Law Student Writing Competition \u2013 please inform your students and law clerks\/associates, share via social media, law school e-blasts, morning announcements, etc.!<\/u><\/strong> This is a great resume builder and even if a particular student does not receive first place, he\/she\/they may have an opportunity to be nationally published in one of the ABA Forum on Construction Law publications. <em>Runners up will have an opportunity for publication as well!<\/em> Here are the details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winning participant will receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National recognition via the ABA Forum on Construction Law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$1,000 cash prize<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel expenses to the Fall Meeting 2024 in an amazing location TBD (not to exceed $2,000)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First place plaque<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One-year membership in the Forum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A second place winner may be recognized as well, and all participants will be considered for publication in a Forum on Construction Law publication.
