Banner Scholarship is part of The Richard Linn American Inn of Court&#8217;s commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers of high ethics, civility and professionalism, and including those from diverse backgrounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The recipient of the scholarship receives $10,000 to be applied to their legal education. This scholarship is available to law students who have entered into a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school in the United States and who will continue in that program through at least the Fall 2026 semester. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Mark T. Banner Scholarship review board based on the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Demonstrated Commitment to a Career in Intellectual Property\u00a0Law: Applicants must show a clear and sustained interest in pursuing a\u00a0career in intellectual property law.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ethics, Civility, and Professionalism: Exemplary qualities and actions\u00a0reflecting integrity and respect in both personal and professional\u00a0conduct.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Academic Achievement: Strong academic performance in\u00a0undergraduate, graduate, and law school studies.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exceptional Communication Skills: Written and oral communication\u00a0abilities, including evaluation through a video interview for finalists.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leadership and Community Engagement: Demonstrated leadership\u00a0skills and active participation in initiatives that contribute positively to\u00a0the community.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Resilience and\u00a0Overcoming Adversity: The ability to illustrate\u00a0personal resilience through overcoming significant challenges or\u00a0hardships, which could include, but are not limited to, socio-economic\u00a0disadvantages, first-generation educational attainment, familial or\u00a0personal hardships, or other compelling circumstances.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications need to be submitted by December 6, 2025.
