Apply for the Community Associates Program!\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you are interested in creating, working, or learning about nonprofit organizations and the intersection of philanthropy and the&nbsp;law&nbsp;this is a pro bono opportunity you do not want to miss!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Alliance for Advocacy and Philanthropy (The Alliance) is seeking student pro-bono interns to work&nbsp;virtually on&nbsp;a variety of projects with nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay area. The Alliance is a partnership between the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and Stetson University College of Law. It is a partnership designed to engage students in the philanthropic community and to strengthen the effectiveness of nonprofit efforts to address the needs of communities in the Tampa Bay area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who volunteer for these pro bono opportunities are required to commit to working at least three hours per week for a minimum of&nbsp;11&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;starting&nbsp;February 9, 2026.\u202f \u202fThe preference is for longer&nbsp;multiweek&nbsp;engagements, but short-term one-time opportunities may also be available. In addition, you may have opportunities to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learn about the nonprofit grantmaking process\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attend community meetings and virtual networking opportunities with nonprofit executives\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with a wide variety of business executives, lawyers, and philanthropists\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analyze socio-economic data, and\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist\u00a0in evaluating programmatic outcomes\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in applying for one of these opportunities, please&nbsp;submit&nbsp;a resume and cover letter explaining your interest and\/or experience in the nonprofit world\u202f<strong>no later than 5 p.m. on&nbsp;January 23, 2026.<\/strong>\u202f You will be notified of whether you are placed in the Community Associates Program no later than&nbsp;<strong>January 29, 2026.<\/strong>&nbsp;You&nbsp;will begin your pro bono assignment beginning&nbsp;<strong>February 9,&nbsp;2026&nbsp;<\/strong>and ending&nbsp;<strong>April 28, 2026<\/strong>. \u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should&nbsp;indicate&nbsp;in your cover letter how many hours per week you will be available to volunteer.
