{"id":79092,"date":"2026-02-07T16:01:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T21:01:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/?p=79092"},"modified":"2026-02-06T16:03:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T21:03:12","slug":"jeff-murphy-law-scholarship-1000-deadline-april-15-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/jeff-murphy-law-scholarship-1000-deadline-april-15-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeff Murphy Law Scholarship &#8211; $1,000 &#8211; Deadline: April 15, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a current 1L, 2L, or 3L law student enrolled at an accredited U.S. law school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be in good academic standing at the time of application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit an original essay responding to the assigned scholarship prompt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide proof of current enrollment, such as a student ID or enrollment verification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There is&nbsp;<strong>no application fee<\/strong>&nbsp;to apply for this scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essay Requirement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must submit an original essay of approximately 1,000 words responding to the scholarship prompt. The official essay topic will be announced when the application period opens on\u00a0<strong>February 1<\/strong>\u00a0and will follow prior themes focused on victims\u2019 rights, advocacy, and the role attorneys play in protecting vulnerable individuals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essays must be the applicant\u2019s own work and may not be generated, copied, or repurposed from other submissions or publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Application Materials<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered, applicants must submit the following materials together:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completed original essay (approximately 1,000 words)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current resume<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of enrollment at an accredited law school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026 Application Timeline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Opens: February 1, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application Deadline: April 15, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner Selected: May 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner Announced: May 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarship Award Distributed: May 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All materials must be received by the deadline to be eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants should submit all required materials by email to:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:ishani@meanpug.com\">ishani@meanpug.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please include \u201cJeff Murphy Law Victims\u2019 Rights Scholarship \u2013 2026\u201d in the subject line of your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information is available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jeffmurphylaw.com\/victims-rights-scholarship\/\">Jeff Murphy Law Victims\u2019 Rights Scholarship &#8211; Jeff Murphy Law<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eligibility Requirements Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: There is&nbsp;no application fee&nbsp;to apply for this scholarship.
