Viles Community Growth Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attend or be accepted to attend an accredited college, university, or graduate school in the United States<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a GPA of at least 3.0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have legal residency or citizenship in the U.S.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to all the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vilesandbeckman.com\/about-us\/community-growth-scholarship\/terms-and-conditions\/\">terms and conditions<\/a>\u00a0of this scholarship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit proof of enrollment, personal identification, and additional required documents via the form on this page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Author an original 1,000-word essay on the topic provided below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following people are&nbsp;<strong>ineligible<\/strong>&nbsp;to apply for this scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees of Viles &amp; Beckman, LLC and\/or Viles &amp; Beckman Foundation, Inc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children of Viles &amp; Beckman, LLC and\/or Viles &amp; Beckman Foundation, Inc. employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants unwilling to be interviewed by representatives of Viles &amp; Beckman Foundation, Inc. upon winning the award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants who have submitted the same essay or for multiple years in a row or for multiple scholarships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous winners of the Marcus W. Viles Community Growth Scholarship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Essay Topic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please write an original, 1,000-word essay on the following topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What does your community mean to you?<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;Discuss your commitment to both your school and the larger community. Provide examples of ways that you have benefited from and helped enrich the communities in which you are involved.
