{"id":80132,"date":"2026-06-12T13:22:21","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T17:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/?p=80132"},"modified":"2026-06-12T13:22:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T17:22:21","slug":"legal-pro-bono-opportunity-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/legal-pro-bono-opportunity-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal Pro Bono Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bay Area Legal Services is looking for volunteers for an upcoming <strong>Advanced Directives Legal Clinic<\/strong>&nbsp;with Bay Area Legal Services on Tuesday, <strong>June 23 from 4:00\u20137:00 PM<\/strong>&nbsp;in St. Pete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the clinic, we\u2019ll be helping community members with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Simple wills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Healthcare surrogate forms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Power of Attorney for<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guardianship forms for minors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a great chance to get some legal <strong>pro bono hours<\/strong>&nbsp;and hands-on experience. Student volunteers will assist with pre-screenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be a <strong>mandatory training on June 16<\/strong>, so please keep that in mind when signing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re interested, just <strong>email <\/strong>Tiera at <strong>tmason@bals.org<\/strong> and you\u2019ll be added to the volunteer list. You can also reach out to Tiera <strong>727.490.4040 x113<\/strong> if you have any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, just a quick note\u2014since we\u2019ll be working directly with community members, it is really important that everyone who signs up is able to follow through.
