Strong administrative skills and oral and written communication skills are imperative.\u00a0 The ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks is required.\u00a0 Do not apply if your plate is already overflowing.\u00a0 We really need someone who will be able to assist us on a consistent basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Responsibilities will include the following \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Updating the Social Justice Advocacy Resource Manual.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting Prof. Adams and Prof. Scully on tasks related to the forthcoming second issue of SOJOURN:\u00a0 Stetson&#8217;s Social Justice Advocacy &amp; the Law Journal\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting SJA in continuing to move forward with publishing SJA Directed\u00a0Research\u00a0Projects and Independent\u00a0Research\u00a0Papers on the Stetson Library Website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting SJA in event planning &#8212; including publicizing events and assisting in hosting events. \u00a0This may include running errands and handling a wide variety of logistics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting Prof. Scully in activities and\u00a0research\u00a0related to the St. Pete Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing\u00a0research\u00a0assistance on issues related to the SJA work that both Prof. Scully and Prof. Adams are engaged in.\u00a0 This may include issues related to mass incarceration, homelessness, access to justice, \u00a0trauma informed care, civil rights, and racial justice .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please send an email with your resume to both Professor Scully and Professor Adams expressing interest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Adams and Prof. Scully are seeking a\u00a0research\u00a0assistant\u00a0to provide support to us in our Social Justice Advocacy endeavors. \u00a0The\u00a0research\u00a0assistant\u00a0will work 5-10 hours\/week.
