{"id":11529,"date":"2013-01-30T12:53:01","date_gmt":"2013-01-30T17:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.law.stetson.edu\/news\/?p=11529"},"modified":"2014-04-03T13:40:09","modified_gmt":"2014-04-03T17:40:09","slug":"stetson-hosts-two-free-consumer-protection-expos-in-march-and-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/index.php\/2013\/01\/30\/stetson-hosts-two-free-consumer-protection-expos-in-march-and-april\/","title":{"rendered":"Stetson hosts free consumer protection expo in April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The public is invited to learn about consumer protection and the latest scams and fraud targeting older Americans at Stetson\u2019s Elder Consumer Protection Expo on Wednesday, April 24, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., at Stetson\u2019s Gulfport campus, 1401 61st St. S.<\/p>\n<p>Stetson\u2019s Elder Consumer Protection Expos will provide services including an on-site document shredding drop-off, Do-Not-Call\/Opt-Out registration, and free credit reporting services to help guard against identity theft.<\/p>\n<p>Presenters from local and state organizations and agencies will provide information and answer questions during the event.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will be treated to a free continental breakfast, boxed lunch and door prizes.<\/p>\n<p>Doors open and continental breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m. Registration is required and limited.
