{"id":15047,"date":"2014-04-10T15:55:23","date_gmt":"2014-04-10T19:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/?p=15047"},"modified":"2014-04-10T15:55:23","modified_gmt":"2014-04-10T19:55:23","slug":"stetson-university-college-of-law-sponsors-nations-largest-intercollegiate-mock-trial-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/index.php\/2014\/04\/10\/stetson-university-college-of-law-sponsors-nations-largest-intercollegiate-mock-trial-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"Stetson University College of Law Sponsors Nation\u2019s Largest Intercollegiate Mock Trial Tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The final round of the American Mock Trial Association\u2019s tournament, with 48 teams from undergraduate schools across the nation, will be sponsored by Stetson University College of Law and hosted by the University of Central Florida, April 11-13, in Orlando, Fla.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"2014 AMTA National Championship Tournament\" href=\"http:\/\/www.trialteamucf.com\/national-championship-tournament.html\" target=\"_blank\">2014 AMTA National Championship Tournament<\/a> will include four rounds, with each mock trial round consisting of a team representing the prosecution competing against another representing the defense.\u00a0The two divisions at the national tournament are named for prominent members of the Stetson Law community, including the \u201cEleazer Division\u201d for Distinguished Professor of Law Emeritus William Eleazer and the \u201cJacob Division\u201d for Dean Emeritus and Professor Bruce R.
