Photo by Brittany Brochard.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cPut social good ahead of personal greed,\u201d Davis urged the audience of law students attending his lecture.<\/p>\n<p>In just three years, and with the support of Coca-Cola, Kiehl\u2019s and Nike, the StandUp brand shipped to 53 countries \u2013 and released enough profits to fund global anti-bullying education programs and award more than 50 grants in the U.S. and the U.K. to assist anti-bullying efforts. Davis described how\u00a0animal and human welfare practices, safe-ingredient standards, or inclusion and anti-bullying policies in businesses can drive\u00a0social change.<\/p>\n<p>Davis also presented a lecture and discussion on Feb. 18 at Stetson University in DeLand as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/other\/sjls\/\" target=\"_blank\">Social Justice Lecture series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the fall semester of\u00a02013, Stetson University launched the\u00a0lecture series focused on social justice to explore issues central to its\u00a0mission and values &#8212; values that speak to human freedom, personal and social responsibility, the connections we have with each other, and the obligations that flow from our shared humanity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stetson University graduate Patrick Davis \u201988, CEO of Davis Brand Capital and co-founder of the\u00a0anti-bullying foundation StandUp,\u00a0presented the Social Justice Lecture on \u201cEntrepreneurism for Social Change: Inside Stories of Making the World Better, One Company at a Time\u201d on Stetson&#8217;s Gulfport campus.
