U.S. News & World Report <\/em>has ranked Stetson University College of Law No. 1 in Trial Advocacy<\/a> for the 18th time. Stetson ranked third in the nation for Legal Writing<\/a> in the U.S. News<\/em> 2017 \u201cBest Grad Schools\u201d issue.<\/p>\n

“Stetson\u2019s commitment to excellence in advocacy is exemplified by our graduates,\u201d said Stetson University President Wendy B. Libby, Ph.D. \u201cWhen Stetson Law graduates walk into a courtroom they are prepared with significant advocacy and communication skills needed to represent their clients professionally and persuasively.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cStetson Law’s nationally recognized programs in advocacy and legal writing set our students, our graduates and our faculty apart,\u201d said Dean and Professor of Law Christopher Pietruszkiewicz. \u201cI am proud that our program is recognized for preparing students with the critical communication skills to be effective advocates on behalf of their clients and strong voices in helping our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stetson has been recognized as the top law school in the nation for Trial Advocacy 18 times since 1995 and has ranked among\u00a0the top six legal writing programs since the inception of the Legal Writing rankings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe strive every day to produce advocates worthy of the trust their clients place in them,\u201d said Charles H. Rose III, Professor of Excellence in Trial Advocacy and Director of the Center for Excellence in Advocacy at Stetson. \u201cThe importance of advocacy permeates the legal education experience at Stetson, creating advocates who represent others competently, compassionately and professionally \u2013 true Stetson Lawyers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLegal Writing is a distinctive in Stetson’s legal communication curriculum and an important research focus for Institute faculty,\u201d said Kirsten K.
