Jahanna M. Azarian finished second at the competition.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Stetson University College of Law student Jahanna M. Azarian finished second place and as a national finalist in the Jeffry S. Abrams National Mediation Competition on Oct. 7 at the University of Houston Law Center.<\/p>\n

This is the first time a Stetson Law team has competed in this event, now in its sixth year. This is one of few competitions where students serve as mediators and are judged on their effectiveness as a mediator. The top two students in the national competition are finalists.<\/p>\n

Stetson students Azarian and Nathan S. Bruemmer competed, coached by Stetson Law professors Kelly Feeley and Kristen Adams.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are enormously proud of the way in which Jahanna and Nathan represented Stetson University College of Law and the Dispute Resolution Board,\u201d said Professor Adams. \u201cBoth had the opportunity to further refine their situation-management and problem-solving skills through this competition, and they represented Stetson with professionalism, poise and excellent preparation.\u201d<\/p>\n
