Stetson\u2019s National Conference on Law and Higher Education is Feb. 9-13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stetson University\u2019s annual National Conference on Law and Higher Education celebrates 38 years in February, with leading higher education scholars, thinkers and practitioners in the U.S. discussing the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in an era of legal, social and political change.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/shutterstock_59850577.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-22099\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/shutterstock_59850577-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"shutterstock_59850577\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s conference, themed on \u201cAccountability and Regulation of American Colleges and Universities in Times of Legal, Social and Political Upheaval,\u201d takes place Feb. 9-13, 2017, at the Hilton in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stetson&#8217;s annual National Conference on Law and Higher Education is consistently recognized for providing educators with the latest tools required to navigate today&#8217;s educational climate,&#8221; said Stetson Law Dean Christopher Pietruszkiewicz.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With a new president in 2017 comes a changing law and policy climate, including the potential for changes in enforcement philosophy, leadership, and direction for the Departments of Education and Justice,\u201d said Professor of Law Peter F.
