A total of 47\u00a0degree candidates, including 20\u00a0full-time and\u00a027\u00a0part-time J.D. students, were invited to attend the celebration. The full-time J.D. class includes\u00a0two\u00a0J.D.\/Grado students, one J.D.\/MINTEC and one J.D.\/MIEBL student.<\/p>\n<p>Eight\u00a0LL.M. in Advocacy, one joint J.D.\/LL.M. in Advocacy, and seven\u00a0LL.M. in Elder Law students were also recognized.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-color: #555555;\" src=\"http:\/\/stetsonlaw.zenfolio.com\/zf\/core\/embedgallery.aspx?p=38356e880ff405211CCCCCC03e111111F5F5F5DDDDDD555555CCCCCC.2\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nDecember\u2019s graduating class at Stetson law school includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starcee Brown, J.D. and LL.M. in Advocacy candidate, a single mother, former Trial Team member, and scholarship recipient who began working at the Orlando Public Defender&#8217;s Office this fall;<\/li>\n<li>Brittany Brochard, J.D. and Certificate of Concentration in Social Justice Advocacy candidate, a former high school teacher, Guardian ad Litem and student ambassador who received\u00a0the Thomas E. Penick Jr. Award for Community Service and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award;<\/li>\n<li>Patrick Iyampillai, J.D. candidate, a member of the Trial Team, Jewish Law Student Association president, student ambassador, Student Bar Association representative who dedicated numerous hours to helping veterans through Stetson&#8217;s Veterans Advocacy Clinic;<\/li>\n<li>Christopher Knight, J.D. and Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy candidate, a Student Bar Association representative, recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award, and a U.S. Army\u00a0veteran whose service dog, Kevin, walked with him at the graduation celebration;<\/li>\n<li>Nicole Westmoreland, J.D. and Certificate of Concentration in Social Justice Advocacy candidate whose\u00a0article, &#8220;Exactly How Would You Like Us to Protest?&#8221; was published in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/realspin\/2016\/10\/11\/exactly-how-would-you-like-us-to-protest\/#57a8fef56d76\">Forbes<\/a>, received\u00a0the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and the Walter Mann Award for showing great promise in leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Stetson students volunteered more than 28,000 hours of community service last year. Stetson offers certificates of concentration in advocacy, environmental law, international law, and social justice advocacy.
