Stetson University College of Law\u2019s Black Law Students Association coordinated the annual Alumni Banquet at the Tampa Law Center on April 14 to\u00a0honor alumni and celebrate graduating third-year BLSA members and BLSA accomplishments.<\/p>\n

Aaron Watson J.D. \u201909 presented remarks at the event.<\/p>\n

Watson, founder of the Watson Firm PLLC<\/a>, was a national champion in trial advocacy while he was a student at Stetson, winning the American Association of Justice student trial competition. At Stetson,\u00a0Watson also served as president for the Black Law Students Association, interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, and volunteered with the Florida Attorney General\u2019s office. He was selected for the Stallworth Trial Team Award by faculty at Stetson for his achievement of excellence in trial advocacy, and he was\u00a0inducted<\/a>\u00a0into\u00a0The National Order of Barristers<\/a>\u00a0for attaining high honor in the art of courtroom advocacy. Watson currently serves on the Board of Governors for the\u00a0American Association for Justice<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Florida Justice Association<\/a>, and has recently been named one of the\u00a0National Black Lawyers Top 100.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
