Stetson’s National Conference on Special Needs Planning and Special Needs Trusts is at the Vinoy from Oct. 17-19.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Stetson University College of Law’s National Conference on Special Needs Planning and Special Needs Trusts, now in its 20th year, brings together national experts in special needs trusts, tax, pooled special needs trusts, disability and veterans law on Oct. 17-19 at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida.\u00a0CLE credits have been approved<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The conference will include pre-conference options on Oct. 17, with a full-day tax intensive, a full-day pooled trust intensive, and a half-day veterans benefits intensive.<\/p>\n

The half-day veterans benefits intensive will feature three hours of training with U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Judge Michael P. Allen and Stetson Veterans Law Institute Director and professor Stacey-Rae Simcox, an overview of the Office of General Counsel of the Department of Veterans Affairs\u00a0by VA Deputy Chief Counsel Rebecca Tranthem,\u00a0and an\u00a0update from U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Chief Judge Robert N. Davis.<\/p>\n

The national conference will begin on Oct. 18, with general sessions in the mornings followed by breakout sessions in the afternoons.<\/p>\n

Topics include presentations on the Social Security Administration, advising persons with disabilities, and tax reform.<\/p>\n

Samara Richardson, associate commissioner for the Office of Income Security Program, will join the program via video conference.<\/p>\n
