She\nbegins her new role on June 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flowers will be stepping down from her role as the director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/academics\/elder\/home\/\">Center for Excellence in Elder Law<\/a> to temporarily take the helm as the interim director of the Center for Excellence in Advocacy. Law Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/faculty\/morgan-rebecca-c\/\">Rebecca C. Morgan, J.D.<\/a> will fulfill the duties of the interim director for the Center for Excellence in Elder Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flowers was the Center for Excellence in Advocacy\u2019s director\nwhen the program began in the early 2000s and later became the director of the Center for Excellence in Elder Law.\nReturning to her previous role will be a homecoming, which will allow her to\ncreate a shared vision with others in the advocacy community at Stetson Law\nalong with educating a new generation about effective advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u201cI look forward to\nhaving Roberta\u2019s guidance and experience at the helm again,\u201d said President\nWendy B. Libby, Ph.D. \u201cShe set the stage for the Center for Excellence in\nAdvocacy, creating a foundation of knowledge and curriculum and building a\ntradition of excellence that continues today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stetson Law is ranked the no.1 school for trial advocacy for\nthe 21<sup>st<\/sup> time in the United States by <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em>. The publication has been reporting\nlaw institution rankings for the past 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stetson Law is committed to the concept of the complete\nadvocate \u2014 one who commands a superior understanding of the law, is able to\npersuasively present evidence and has the humanity to know when to do what is\nright and just.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy biggest goal this year is to bring all of the different\npieces of advocacy at Stetson Law together,\u201d said Flowers. \u201cSo many different\nmembers of the Stetson community are involved in advocacy.
