Soliman <br><em>\u00a0Photo by Alberto\u00a0Dilon\u00e9<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\n<a href=\"https:\/\/ms-jd.org\/programs\/fellowship\/\">Ms. JD Fellowship<\/a> is a project in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/groups\/diversity\/women\/\">American Bar\nAssociation Commission on Women in the Profession<\/a> that was established nine years ago to provide mentoring\nand professional development opportunities for future women attorneys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe\nMs. JD Fellowship is a wonderful mentorship program that will allow me to\nexpress myself and join a community of professionals who will guide me through\nthe issues that women face in the law profession,\u201d said Soliman. \u201cThis\nfellowship also will provide me with the support that I will need to be\nsuccessful in the workplace after law school and give me a chance to create an\nincredible network and village with amazing women in the legal field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fellows\nwill be writing a blog entry on the Ms. JD Fellowship website and work either\non a group project with other fellows or an individual project at their law\nschool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soliman\nmay be writing a blog about her experience as a young mom in law school along\nwith the difficulties and challenges a mother faces as a full-time law student.\nShe is currently researching topics for either an individual or group project\nas part of her fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soliman\nhas aspired to become an attorney ever since she was a child. She observed her uncle\nat his law firm after school, which sparked her passion for making a global\ndifference with a law career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She\nreceived Bachelor of Arts degrees in international and global studies and\npolitical science and government from the University of South Florida and her\nMaster\u2019s degree in Latin American and Caribbean studies at Florida\nInternational University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soliman\nis pursuing a career in international and immigration law after she graduates\nfrom Stetson Law next year. While at Stetson Law, she has been a member of Phi\nAlpha Delta, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Tampa Hispanic Bar\nAssociation and the Stetson Law student publication <em>Journal of International Aging Law &amp; Policy<\/em> and treasurer of\nthe International Law Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">International\nlaw and immigration are important to Soliman because she is an immigrant who\nleft Honduras with her family at a young age. She wants to give back and help\nother immigrants in similar situations. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\nhave a multifaceted perspective and deeper understanding on a variety of global\nissues,\u201d said Soliman. \u201cI want to affect social change through laws and advance\nhuman rights throughout the world.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stetson University College of Law third-year student Emilia L.
