However, in a recent article,&nbsp;&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/lawreview.law.ucdavis.edu\/issues\/52\/2\/Articles\/52-2_Jimenez.pdf\">Retribution in Contract Law<\/a>,&#8221; Professor Jimenez argues that if we focus on what judges&nbsp;<em>do<\/em>&nbsp;rather than on what they&nbsp;<em>say<\/em>&nbsp;they do when they decide contracts disputes, the wrongfulness of the promisor\u2019s breach plays an important role in determining the remedy a court will ultimately award, indicating that courts are not only compensating injured promisees, but punishing breaching promisors as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About Professor Jimenez<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/faculty\/jimenez-marco-j\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Marco J. Jimenez <\/a>is a Professor of Law at Stetson and teaches and writes in the areas of Contracts, Remedies, Western Legal Thought, International Sales Law and Arbitration, and Interdisciplinary Jurisprudence.
