The deadline to respond is&nbsp;<strong>Friday, March 6<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stetson University conducted its first campus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/today\/2020\/01\/stetson-will-launch-2nd-campus-climate-survey-on-feb-3\/\">climate\nsurvey<\/a> in 2016, and the College of Law instituted a number of initiatives\nto promote diversity and improve campus climate as a result of its findings. For\nexample:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A Diversity and Inclusion Committee,&nbsp;comprising&nbsp;faculty, staff and student members, was created to track the college\u2019s progress on these issues. The group engaged the Student Bar Association\u2019s diversity committee as it worked to increase cross-cultural interaction on campus. <\/li><li>The College of Law followed up on the committee\u2019s suggestions by sponsoring several diversity and inclusion education sessions by Elon, Prism, Community Tampa Bay and others.<\/li><li>For students, various on-campus health resources were created in April 2017 to help with wellness, and at students&#8217; request, results of Honor Code violations are published (anonymously) online, so that they know those are addressed and resolved appropriately. <\/li><li>Efforts to increase transparency and inclusion for staff included creating an internal, online organizational chart of the school\u2019s leadership. A <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.stetson.edu\/staff\/staff-advisory-committee.php\">Staff Advisory Committee<\/a> was created in 2018 to give them a stronger voice in College of Law decisions.<\/li><li>The College of Law\u2019s search processes for open positions was changed to attract diverse candidates, resulting in more inclusive hiring for faculty and staff throughout the school.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Michele-Alexandre-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"dean michele alexandre\" class=\"wp-image-27800\" width=\"243\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Michele-Alexandre-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Michele-Alexandre-500x333.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Michele-Alexandre-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Michele-Alexandre-1320x880.jpg 1320w, https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Michele-Alexandre.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 243px) 100vw, 243px\" \/><figcaption>Dean Mich\u00e8le Alexandre<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThese&nbsp;and other tangible accomplishments are important\nto show students, faculty and staff that their opinions matter and can bring\nabout change,\u201d said Dean Mich\u00e8le Alexandre. \u201cI hope that each of you will take\nthe time to complete the survey and provide meaningful feedback.
