Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, Ky., Stetson Law\u2019s Dispute Resolution Board is now \u201cthree for three,\u201d having advanced to national rounds in all three areas in which the ABA Law Student Division hosts competitions:\u00a0negotiation, arbitration, and client counseling.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DR\/Trial Team veteran Forest Sutton and rookie Gabriele Bodanza (who\nwas competing for the very first time this past weekend) won their regional\ncompetition in Louisville and will advance to national rounds in mid-March.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other Stetson students who participated in the competition\nincluded: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Andrea Snipes-Booker and Bailey\nPeterson made it to the finals and placed third overall; and <\/li><li>Alina Acevedo and Jacqueline Phillips,\nboth second-year students who performed expertly in their first-ever\ncompetition on behalf of Stetson.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kaile Bennett and Jerry Funt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/index.php\/2019\/11\/04\/stetson-students-win-regional-negotiation-competition-advance-to-nationals\/\">won the ABA Negotiation regional competition<\/a> in November in Utah and advanced to the national competition at the ABA headquarters in Chicago in early February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ryan Dwyer, Grace Kobitter, and Kyle McCabe, together with 2L\nDR\/Moot Court member Mia Tolliver (who was competing for the first time for\nStetson) won the regional competition in November and were one of only 10 teams\nto advance to the national competition in Chicago in January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Negotiation and client counseling coaches were Professor Jim Sheehan\nand Stetson alumna Emily VanOosting J.D. \u201812.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With a win Feb. 7-8, 2020, at the ABA Client Counseling regional competition at the University of Louisville- Louis D.
