{"id":330,"date":"2009-01-27T11:29:22","date_gmt":"2009-01-27T16:29:22","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2012-02-29T15:20:32","modified_gmt":"2012-02-29T20:20:32","slug":"bay-area-elder-consumer-expos-in-february-and-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/news\/index.php\/2009\/01\/27\/bay-area-elder-consumer-expos-in-february-and-april\/","title":{"rendered":"Bay Area Elder Consumer Expos in February and April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Contact Brandi Palmer<br \/>Manager of Media Relations<br \/>727-562-7381<br \/>palmer@law.stetson.edu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stetson University College of Law invites seniors to its Gulfport campus for two free Bay Area Elder Consumer Protection Expos in February and April. <\/p>\n<p>Expos educating seniors about consumer protection, exploitation, abuse and neglect will be offered on Feb. 13 and on April 22 between 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Both expos will be offered in the Great Hall at Stetson Law, 1401 61st St. S.<\/p>\n<p>A free continental breakfast will be provided. Space is limited.<\/p>\n<p>Expos include on-site shredding services, &#8220;Do-Not-Call&#8221; and &#8220;Opt-Out&#8221; registry information, door prizes, presentations, and informational exhibits by local, state and federal agencies. <\/p>\n<p>Parking is available at Stetson at the corner of 61st St. S. and 15th Ave. S. Supported in part by limited state and federal funding, the program offers materials and services that provide and promote general knowledge, public awareness and assistance, and professional development.
