Yet another said they lost all furniture, personal belongings, clothes, and shoes to flooding. Another said they lost two refrigerators&#8217; worth of food due to two consecutive, prolonged power outages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To support students affected by the storms, Stetson Law put out a call to action urging alumni and friends to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stetson.edu\/law\/forms\/give.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contribute<\/a> to its <strong>Student Emergency<\/strong> and <strong>Food Pantry<\/strong> funds \u2013 and the community responded generously. So far, Stetson Law has raised $30,000 for students in need of post-hurricane aid.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One such contributor is <strong>Susan B<\/strong>., whose son is a 2L and graduate of Stetson University in DeLand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur son was not affected by hurricanes Helene or Milton, but he shared that many of his classmates were,\u201d she said. \u201cWe just want to help his fellow students who were not as fortunate to recover from loss and damage so they can focus on their studies.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family\u2019s contribution will greatly assist students as they work to rebuild their lives amid unprecedented circumstances.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the amount of contributions so far is impressive, it pales in comparison to the needs of our impacted students.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you have yet to give or would like to provide more than one gift, doing so is easy via the Stetson Law website.
