Students also had the opportunity to interact with lawyers, professors and law students.<\/p>\n<p>Those who participated in the program believe it gives them an advantage over other students preparing for law school. \u201cThis program provided opportunities that students would not otherwise have,\u201d said Jessica Ford, Stetson University undergraduate student. \u201cIt provided us with the skills and connections we normally might not have been able to get before coming to law school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jamal Barrington Smith, Stetson University undergraduate student, said he was amazed at how he evolved not only as a student, but as a person. \u201cThe Pre-Law Institute was more than just taking courses and learning how to read and write like a law student,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cIt was an experience\u2014not just an academic experience, but a life experience.
