SARA SCARPELLI – Program Director

Biography

As the director of community outreach for the School of Music, Sara Scarpelli coordinates the School of Music’s Community Music School, summer camps, workshops, and other community outreach programs. Scarpelli, a flutist, holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master’s in Business Administration from Stetson. As the director of community outreach, Scarpelli has led several exciting initiatives within the program, including relaunching the Stetson Young Singers children’s choir program and developing The Jack and Martha Apgar Young Music Scholars Program in partnership with the Apgar Foundation. The latter provides scholarships for students in Volusia and Seminole County Schools to enroll in individual music lessons and ensemble programs within the Stetson Community Music School. In addition to this work, Scarpelli enjoys playing in local community music ensembles and chamber groups. She will serve as the festival’s program director.
