Law
enforcement
personnel are establishing the identity of an arsonist of a
building of a
Jewish community in Kherson in Ukraine, the department of
communication of the
police of the region reports.
"Today,
at about
3 a.m., police of Kherson oblast were summoned by a resident of
the oblast
capital to 'Unified Center 102.' The caller described how he
caught sight of an
unidentified man who ignited a bottle with flammable liquid,
threw it at the
threshold of the building of a Jewish religious community on
Theatre Street,
and ran off. The Kherson resident also reported that a fire did
not occur
because the liquid did not ignite," the report said.
Upon
inspecting the
site of the event, law enforcers discovered remains of a glass
bottle with
particles of a flammable substance. Material evidence was sent
for examination.
Efforts
for
establishing the identity of the miscreant are under way. (tr.
