JEHOVISTS' LITERATURE SEIZED ON SHIP ARRIVING AT ROSTOV-ON-DON FROM TURKEY

Customs officials at the river port of Rostov-on-Don confiscated extremist literature for expert analysis, which was discovered on board the steamship "Missia," which arrived from the Turkish port of Tuzla, the press service of the Russian F.S.B. border directorate for Rostov oblast.
"In the public library on the premises of the mess deck of the ship, printed materials that are included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials were discovered," the report says. (They were published by the religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses, which is forbidden in the R.F.—I.F.).
An case of administrative violation of the law has been opened on the basis of part 1 of article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Law of the R.F. (non-declaration or false declaration of goods) and part 1 of article 16.3 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Law of the R.F. EXTREMIST LITERATURE FOUND ON SHIP ARRIVING IN
RUSSIA FROM TURKEY
On a liner arriving in Russia from Turkey, extremist literature was discovered. Customs officials seized the books "Come and Follow Me" and "What does the Bible really teach?" which were ruled in 2009 to be extremist materials.
The forbidden literature was carried on board the liner "Missia." Cases of administrative violations of law on this incident for non-declaration or false declaration of goods and noncompliance with prohibitions and restrictions on the import of goods to the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
