Bloknot.Krasnodar, 20 December 2021

Personnel of the department of the Russian F.S.B. for Krasnodar territory discovered extremist proclivities in a foreigner who decided to settle in Kuban.

A 34-year-old citizen of Ukraine, who immigrated to Kuban two years ago, recently applied to the department for migration matters of the chief directorate of the Russian M.V.D. for Krasnodar territory for granting him a residency permit. He already had permission for temporary residence on the territory of the region, which he received in 2019. But it turned out that his reasons for a move were selfish.

Personnel of the local department of the Russian F.S.B. discovered the extremist propensity of the foreigner. It was revealed that he is an adherent of an international religious association that is considered undesirable on the territory of the R.F. According to this publication's information, [the man is affiliated with] the religious department of evangelical Christians of the "New Generation" Ukrainian Christian Church. And he aggressively conducted preaching and recruiting of people into his so-called "sect." But it poses a threat to the security and constitutional structure of the R.F. because it is believed that the final goal of these organizations is the predominance of biblical dogmas over all spheres of life.

The press service of the chief directorate of the Russian M.V.D. for the region said that in accordance with the laws of the country, the police denied the man receipt of a residency permit and cancelled his permission for temporary residence in the Russian Federation. The foreign citizen was informed about the decision in accordance with the procedure set by law. To be sure, they are not referring to the opening of a criminal case for extremism. But this is most likely only a matter of time. (tr. by PDS, posted 20 December 2021)
