Religiina Pravda, 11 January 2022

Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, the exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church (RPTs) in Belarus, considers that Russia, Belorussia, and Ukraine will return to unity. He explained this in an interview on the ONT [National TV of Belarus] television channel, which was posted on the website of the RPTs.

He said that these three peoples "have spiritual unity."

"Our fraternal peoples still have spiritual unity, but within the framework of political reality we see division, serious division, which evokes natural sorrow, but at the same time we recognize that, having such a good foundation on which our states are constructed, we can and we must restore the unity of our countries and three peoples. And there are the testimonies of the holy fathers, who spoke about the coming division among our three countries but subsequently all will be returned to unity," the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in Belarus said.
