EPIFANY: GOAL OF RUSSIAN AGGRESSION IS TO REVIVE A PUTRID MONSTER, THE PRISON OF NATIONS
Religiina Pravda, 25 January 2022
The goal of the Russian aggression is to turn Ukraine into that deep chasm into which Russia has turned Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk and to try to restore the decaying and dead soviet monster, the prison of nations and the evil empire.
This was noted in his appeal to the Ukrainian people by Metropolitan of Kiev and all-Ukraine Epifany.
He notes that the intrusion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine has already happened. It began back in the winter of 2014 with the attack by the "green men" in Crimea.
"For eight years there has continued, although not officially declared by the Kremlin, a real war by Russia against Ukraine. The consequences of this war are the occupation of Crimea and a part of the Donbass, daily shelling of Ukrainian territory by Russian forces, and continuing hybrid attacks on the part of Russia in the economic, diplomatic, information, religious, and other spheres," Epifany notes.
He said that the goal of this aggression is well known and clear: to turn the whole of our country, or at least its greater part, into occupied territory, ruled in the name of the Kremlin by traitors, terrorists, and criminals.
"To turn Ukraine into that abyss into which Russia has turned Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk. To try, at our expense, to restore the rotten and dead soviet monster, the prison of nations and evil empire, and to force the free peoples of Europe to resign themselves to the wishes of the current rulers of the Kremlin," the primate notes.
