Yet another draft law concerning a prohibition of the UPTs (Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate) has been registered. It is No. 7213 of 26 March 2022 introducing changes into the Ukrainian law "On freedom of conscience and religious organizations."

The amendments regard a ban on the activity of religious organizations that are members of the structure (are a part) of a religious organization (association) whose ruling center (administration) is outside the borders of Ukraine in a state that is recognized as conducting armed aggression against Ukraine and/or temporarily occupying a part of the territory of Ukraine.

The corresponding notice was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The sponsors of the draft bill are people's deputies from the parties "Voice" and "Servant of the People": Inna Sovsun, Natalia Pipa, Georgy Mazurashu, Roman Lozinsky, Solomiya Borovskaya, Kira Rudik, and Yaroslav Yurchishin.

The notice says that the document was received 26 March 2022 and "delivered for consideration by the leadership" of the Verkhovna Rada.

The UOJ reported previously that a draft law banning the UPTs was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. (tr. by PDS, posted 28 March 2022)
