LIKE COMMUNIST PARTY, ONCE. P.Ts.U. METROPOLITAN THINKS BILL BANNING MOSCOW PATRIARCHATE TIMELY
Nowadays many reasonable and unreasonable conversations are being conducted with regard to the draft bill "On banning the Moscow patriarchate on the territory of Ukraine." I consider it to be appropriate and timely.

"The history of Ukraine knows similar analogues; they were the prohibition of the Communist party and of soviet symbols. From this, society has had positive results for its healing," the hierarch noted.
"The instinct of self-preservation of the leadership of the UPTsMP as a structure should suggest to it a way out of this critical, historically justified situation: call a council (possibly even online) and promulgate a declaration of the exit from membership in the Russian Orthodox Church (the Moscow patriarchate). Then history and Ukrainian society will put everything into its place. For those who wish to fall under the sanctions of the law, participation in the council would not be required," the PTsU metropolitan emphasized.
We recall that a group of people's deputies (six from the "Voice" fraction and an elected representative of the "Servant of the People" party) advocated introducing a ban on the activity of the RPTs (UPTsMP) in Ukraine. The corresponding draft bill appeared on 26 March on the website of the Rada.
The bill provides for inserting changes into the Ukrainian law "On freedom of conscience and religious organizations." Specifically what will fall under the ban are religious organizations (associations) whose leadership center (administration) is located outside the borders of Ukraine in a state that has been decdlared by law to have committed armed aggression against Ukraine and/or temporarily occupied a part of the territory of Ukraine.
