The Finance Club is the newest Stetson club available to all students interested in joining. The club\u2019s purpose is to serve as a pipeline for the Roland George Investments Program (RGIP), which has a selective application process and a low acceptance rate (<50%).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The club meets biweekly in the RGIP lab from 7-8 p.m. In the meetings, they cover how to write good resumes and cover letters, how to strengthen your LinkedIn profile, and provide tips around networking through using strategies such as cold calling and emailing. The club also provides job interview preparation and teaches how to perform fundamental equity analysis, utilizing examples of how RGIP has executed this in the past. They also invite the students in the club to participate in various RGIP alumni events to gain exposure.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

The club also organizes events to bring in alumni and guest speakers. On Oct. 18, the Finance Club hosted former Stetson students Braden Hill and Stephen Preissler, who currently are working at EverBank and Fidelity Investment, respectively. On Oct. 10, the club hosted Christopher Kent and David Shaffer, both from David Vaughan Investments.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

All students and majors are welcome, although the club prioritizes freshmen and sophomores who are interested in joining RGIP in the future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
