RGIP\u2019s New York City Trip<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Roland George Investments Program (RGIP) had its annual trip to New York City during the first week of October. With a busy schedule filled with networking opportunities and visits to historical landmarks, these students had the experience of exploring New York City as America\u2019s hub of finance and investment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The trip featured 32 Stetson students: juniors, seniors, and MBA students. During this travel experience, these students visited firms such as BlackRock, Lazard, BNP Paribas, Milbank, Frederick Michael & Co, and Bloomberg. Our students had the opportunity to connect with fellow Stetson alumni in some of these firms, such as Luis Cortes at BlackRock, Blake Davies at Frederick, Jim Pascale at Milbank, and Nick Frost \u00a0at the Federal Reserve.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

However, networking opportunities with Stetson alumni didn\u2019t stop there. There also was a Stetson Alumni event organized by Development in which the students enjoyed networking and connecting with past Stetson students that are now employed in firms based in New York City.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

The RGIP Students also had the chance to explore New York City, visiting its several historical landmarks and diving into its cultural experiences. As part of this trip, they visited the NY Federal Reserve, the New York Stock Exchange, and the American Museum of Natural History. They also had the once in a lifetime experience of watching a Broadway musical, The Great Gatsby.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

The Stetson RGIP program is a great way of providing these students with extracurricular opportunities and real-life experiences to apply their knowledge and have a little taste of what the job market is like.<\/p>
