On Nov. 6, the Roland George Investments Program held its Annual Showcase, a highly anticipated event. The Showcase drew an audience of about 250 attendees, both in person and online. \u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

During this event, five student teams composed of RGIP members presented their stock recommendations, showcasing the culminations of a month\u2019s rigorous and thorough analysis. Based on their presentations, the trustees would vote to add three stock recommendations to the Roland George endowment portfolios for value and growth stocks, and the public would vote for the best presentation. The three teams with the most votes would be awarded cash prizes of $2,000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $300 for third place. \u00a0<\/p>

Following the presentations, the trustees voted to add Nextracker (NXT), First Solar (FSLR), and Sempra (SRE) to the RGIP portfolio. As far as the cash prizes go, the first place went to Team 2, composed of William Hubbard, Keith Ohanian, Gigi Kiniyalocts, and Nicolo Radaelli, for their compelling pitch on Constellation Energy (CEG). The second-place prize went to Steven Vetter, Andrew Permenter, and Joseph Despard for their presentation on First Solar (FSLR), and the third-place cash prize was awarded to Max Miller, Sydney Jenkins, Cooper Smith, and Caitlin Kulczyski for their analysis of Nextracker (NXT). \u00a0<\/p>

Congratulations to these students for their compelling pitches and thorough research of each of these companies and the stock market in general. This event was a complete success, and it showcased perfectly the importance of the Roland George Investments Program for our school and our community. We are very proud of each and every one of the people involved with RGIP, and we also thank all of those who attended the event and supported our students.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
