If you are making plans for this summer, don’t forget about the possibility of taking classes at Stetson this summer. Stetson is offering a large selection of courses, both on-campus and online courses.

Undergraduate summer offerings are divided over three sessions:

  • Session 1 (classes May 14-June 11, with final exams on June 12)
  • Session 2 (classes May 14-June 29, with final exams on June 30 and July 1)
  • Session 3 (June 15-July 13, with final exams on July 14).

All online classes are offered during Session 2 (the seven-week session) only. Students may take up to three units (12 hours) during the summer, with no more than two classes being taken during the same or overlapping sessions.

The cost per course during the summer is lower than the cost per course for classes taken during the fall or spring semesters. (Visit Summer@Stetson for more details.)

“Summer academic classes are more affordable than ever, with discounted rates for internships and housing,” said Mitchell Reddish, coordinator of the summer academic programs. “Summer classes may be taken on campus, online, or study away–virtually any where in the world. This program provides a great opportunity to lighten your fall and spring semester loads, to get ahead in your college career, to improve your GPA, to take courses to meet your major or minor requirements, and to complete courses needed for the general education requirements.” University housing will be available for students taking courses on campus this summer.

“Summer academic classes provide opportunities for students to accelerate their academic program,” said John Pearson, co-coordinator of the summer academic program. “Students can add a minor or second major, by taking exceptional classes with Stetson’s renowned faculty.”

When you meet with your academic advisor this week or next week to make plans for fall semester, you should also discuss your summer plans. If you already know you want to take Stetson summer courses, registration is now open for summer courses (no PIN needed).
