Stetson graduate Sarah Caudill was featured in an article published on Feb. 26 in the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

K.C. Ma, Ph.D., professor of finance and chair of Stetson’s Roland George Applied Investments, was quoted in an article titled “Alcoa Stock Hopes to Prove Its Mettle” on Feb. 26 in Yahoo! Finance, MSN Money US, U.S. News & World Report, and four other news outlets.

On Feb. 29, the Tampa Bay Times quoted law professor Catherine Cameron in an article titled “Hulk Hogan’s sex tape lawsuit against Gawker heads to trial.” She was also quoted in Inquisitr on Mar. 1.

The Feb. 29 Chronicle of Higher Education quoted law professor Peter Lake in the article, “Culture of Consent.” On Feb. 25, the Harvard Crimson quoted Lake in an article titled “Admissions Lawsuit Continues in ‘Slow Motion’.”

Law professor Ciara Torres-Spelliscy is quoted in the March 1 Business Law Prof Blog, “Super Tuesday, Super PACs & Super Spending.”

Other News:

Feb. 29, KPLC and other outlets reported that Stetson University College of Law’s Vis International Commercial Arbitration team placed first in pre-moot and will head to the international competition in Vienna in March.

Christopher Colwell, Ed.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Education, was quoted in an article, “Volusia education leaders tackle testing, not contracts,” in The Daytona Beach News-Outlet on Feb. 27.

Student Brian Wade was featured in an article in the Daytona Beach News-Outlet on Feb. 28, “Decorated Air Force veteran pursues a new mission: his college degree.”

On Feb. 23, MS News Now and other outlets reported on “Stetson Law School Professor Reinvents the Law Book as a Website,” about law professor Tim Kaye’s new webby books.

On Feb. 24, Action News 5 and other outlets reported that Stetson University College of Law presented Judith Areen with this year’s William A. Kaplin Award and Cynthia Love with the Facilitators Award at the National Conference on Law and Higher Education in Orlando.

The Feb. 25 Tampa Bay Times reported that Stetson Law, among other schools, is participating in a lunchtime mentoring program for area youth in the article, “’Lunch pals’ program seeks mentors from local businesses to help in 29 Pinellas schools.”

On Feb. 26, Jason Cruz, a junior at Stetson, was quoted in an article posted on Beacon Online News.

Stetson alumni Brendan Rogers and Will Phillips are featured in the March 3 West Volusia Beacon: “Bubba the Redneck Werewolf, a locally-produced movie competing in a California film festival (SilverScream Film & Comic Festival).”

The Feb. 29 Action News 5 and other outlets reported that Law alumnus Adam R. Bugg joined the firm of Carlson, Meissner, Hart & Hayslett, P.A.

Robin Marino, a graduate from Stetson, was appointed as New Independent Director for the Hampshire Group, as reported by Spoke, CNBC Online, WAFB-TV, and over 25 other news outlets on Mar. 2.

On Feb. 26, Action News 5 and other outlets reported that LL.M. in Elder Law alumna Donna J. Jackson will be serving on the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) board of directors.

On Feb. 25, Bloomberg BNA reported that McDermott Will & Emery hired James F. Owens, Law alumnus and former chair of Paul Hastings’s healthcare practice, as a partner in Los Angeles.
