  • John Jett, Ph.D., research professor of environmental science, was quoted in an article in National Geographic, Mar. 10, “Tilikum, Sea World’s Killer Orca, is dying.” Jett, a former whale trainer at Sea World, was prominently featured in Blackfish, the documentary about keeping orcas in captivity.
  • On Mar. 14, Jason Evans, Ph.D., assistant professor of environmental science and studies, was quoted in the article, “Sea Rise could force millions in Florida to adapt or flee, study finds,” published in The Herald, Southeast Green, Miami Herald, and over 30 other news outlets.
