Stetson’s Brown Center for Faculty Innovation and Excellence recently hosted the fourth annual Colloquium on Teaching and Learning Innovation, attracting participants from seven regional institutions.
The Colloquium on April 6 attracted Stetson faculty, staff and students, as well as participants from Adventist University, Daytona State College, Eastern Florida State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Keiser University and the University of Central Florida.
The all-day event in the Lynn Business Center featured sessions aligned with this year’s theme: “All Learners Welcome: Making Excellence Inclusive.”
“The Colloquium’s success this year reflected a national conversation and commitment to interrogate evidence-based pedagogies that have been shown to reduce the disparities in student achievement,” said Rosalie A. Richards, Ph.D., associate provost for Faculty Development at Stetson and a professor of Chemistry and Education.
