    Professor of Psychology Christopher Ferguson, Ph.D., was mentioned in The Ladder’s article entitled, “Social media has the ‘exact same negative effect on depression’ as eating potatoes” for his study that found only a negligible relationship between screen time and depression. Ferguson said his results “do not support a strong focus on screen time as a preventative measure for youth problem behaviors.”
