• The Charlotte Gazette, Washington City Paper, Stage of Life – College and more than 100 other media outlets featured Stetson and Stetson Law in the Oct. 12 story “Stetson University Wins National HEED Award for Diversity and Inclusion.” The story quoted President Christopher Roellke, PhD: “This is an incredible honor for Stetson to receive the national HEED award and for our College of Law to receive it for the fourth consecutive year. It is a reflection of the deep commitment and dedicated work of our students, faculty and staff to create inclusive and vibrant campuses that foster a sense of belonging for all of our students.”

The story also quoted Law School Dean D. Benjamin Barros: “Cultivating a law school environment that is welcoming to all is a critical part of our efforts to equip our students to advocate for a more just future. It is an honor to be recognized for the investment – of time, energy, and dollars – in meaningful diversity initiatives. Winning our fourth HEED Award in a row speaks to the wonderfully vibrant community of faculty members, staff, students, and alumni we have at Stetson Law.”

In addition, the story quoted Carmen Johnson, JD, Stetson’s Executive Officer for Diversity, Collaboration and Inclusion.

• The West Volusia Beacon quoted Rev. Todd Campbell, Stetson chaplain and director of Religious and Spiritual Life, and cited Hillel President Aviv Maddron in the Oct. 17 story “Locals mourn lives lost in Israel, Palestine.”

• Psychology Today published the Oct. 11 commentary “Are College Students Blinkered Authoritarians? A Personal Perspective: The problem is teachers who indoctrinate, not teach” by Christopher Ferguson, PhD, professor of Psychology. “A minority of K12 teachers and professors are swamping kids with political orthodoxy, and most of the rest are afraid to push back,” Ferguson said. “But we need to. It’s our job to educate kids on the complexities of the world, and important civics such as free speech and due process. Instead, our US educational system too often tries to turn them into revolutionaries.”

• Syracuse.com, Breitbart, the Detroit News and more than 210 other media outlets quoted Law professor Ciara Torres-Spelliscy in the Oct. 17 story “Trump spends millions in donor cash on attorneys as legal woes grow.”  “After the Mar-a-Lago and January 6 cases are done, I would not be surprised to see a personal use case against Trump for using these millions in donations that are meant to go to his political campaign going instead for the personal use of keeping him out of prison,” Torres-Spelliscy said.

• WNMF cited Jaclyn Lopez, assistant professor of Law, in the Oct. 17 post “A law professor & scientist ask for a halt to a dredging project that could harm Puerto Rico coral reefs.”

• News Channel Nebraska, the Observer News Enterprise and more than 180 other media outlets cited Stetson Law in the Oct. 18 story “Marielle F. Hazen, Esq., to Illuminate Legislative Updates at Stetson College of Law’s Pooled Trust Intensive Event.”

• Florida Bar News and Florida Record featured Stetson Law in the Oct. 19 story “Stetson Law works to preserve its historic fountains.” The story cited former Florida State Supreme Court Justice and Stetson Law Dean Harold Sebring, as well as former Stetson President J. Ollie Edmunds.

• Financial Content, B. Riley Financial and other media outlets cited Stetson Law’s annual National Special Needs Trusts (SNT) Conference in the Oct. 19 story “Special Needs Trusts Attorney, Marielle F.
