• The program “You Have Real Estate with Attorney Justin Clark” on television station WESH featured Stetson in the March 24 broadcast segment “Viv’s in Your Neighborhood.” “DeLand was founded in 1870, but it is home to Florida’s oldest private college, Stetson University, registered in 1883, which I’m at,” said host Vivian Lehman. “The quad, the Greco-Roman columns and the magnificent oaks make you think you might be in New England instead of Florida . . . . This community prides itself on catering to the students and locals alike.”

• Tampa television station WFLA News Channel 8 interviewed Christopher Ferguson, PhD, professor of Psychology, for the March 26 broadcast segment and online story “Florida social media bill signed into law, legal challenges lie ahead.” “There’s no evidence that this kind of censorship effort involving teenagers is going to improve their health in any way,” Ferguson said. WFLA-AM Radio also quoted Ferguson in a March 27 broadcast on the topic. Yahoo! NewsNew York Folk and NewsFinale also carried the story.

• Public radio station WMFE interviewed Randall Croom, PhD, associate professor of Management, in the March 26 broadcast segment and online story “Whether it’s March Madness or not, Women’s elite sports is slam dunk for Florida economy.” “For example, Grant Hill and Tamia, one of my favorite R&B singers ever, have both invested in Orlando Pride,” Croom said. “So we’re seeing people recognize that it just makes good business sense to invest in women’s athletics, and we’re certainly beginning to see more of that even here in Central Florida.” The story also was carried by WUWF.
