• The West Volusia Beacon featured Stetson in the April 18 story, “Historic Hulley Tower in DeLand will be reconstructed.” The story quoted Amy Gipson, associate vice president of Development and Communications, and cited the university’s second president, Lincoln Hulley, and his wife Eloise. The reconstruction began as an “alumni-led, grass roots campaign,” Gipson said. “We have also applied for a state historic preservation grant, and we should know this summer if we will receive that.”
