Steinmetz Hall offers a perfect venue for audiences to enjoy the Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Choral Union and Concert Choir from Stetson’s School of Music, regarded as one of the nation’s finest undergraduate-only professional schools of music.

“This concert reflects the commitment and artistry of our students and faculty,” said Washington Garcia, DMA, dean of the School of Music. “Performing at Steinmetz Hall provides a world-class platform for our musicians to share their passion for music, and we are excited to present Stetson’s gifted and accomplished student musicians to the Central Florida community.”

Stetson’s Director of Bands Chandler Wilson, PhD, will direct the opening performance, with the Symphonic Band performing a Carmen Dragon arrangement of “America the Beautiful.”

The program finale, led by Stetson’s Orchestra Director Anthony Hose, will bring together student musicians in the Symphony Orchestra, Choral Union and Concert Choir to perform the awe-inspiring finale of Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9.”

“Steinmetz Hall’s acoustics elevate the performance experience for both our students and the audience,” said Timothy Peter, DMA, director of Choral Activities at Stetson University. “It’s an incredible opportunity for the audience to experience the ultra-talented student musicians we get to work with every day at Stetson. That combined with an acoustically pristine venue and beautiful music 200 years after it was originally performed make a recipe for a wonderful night of music.”

Tickets for the concert are $30 and available through the Dr. Phillips Center website or the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office at 407-358-6603. Stetson University invites alumni, music lovers and the Central Florida community to join this celebration of musical excellence.
